Ministers and Experts participates in the First
Arab Satellite Festival Entitles:
Satellites…Rights and Duties", it includes
evaluation for the Document of Arab Satellites
approved by Arab Information Ministers' Council
in their recent meeting, pros and cons of the
Document, as well as the post-license period.
The main topic of the event is the study of
establishing Arab Union for Satellite Channels
that sponsor its interests and discussing the
issuance of Vocational Honor Charter for
satellite channels' work, forms of infringement
on Intellectual Property Rights, and discussing
Arab Agreement regarding the legal regulation of
satellite channels' work, as well as to adopt
the call for common investment by Initial Public
Offering (IPO) and the ownership of shares in
financing and establishing satellite channels.
It’s the time- specially,
after issuing the Document on Principles
regulating satellite broadcast in the Arab
World- necessitates the meeting of all concerned
parties on one table to study the Document and
reach positive rules and suggestions to
effectuate and implement it, the gathering is of
legal nature, for the first time, in a meeting
between media and law, according to specific
relevant topics and subjects
